Nourishing your skin: argan is your ally
Want your skin to hold a nice, bright tan all year long? The secret to having it is good skin nutrition, using a vegetable based oil – particularly rich in regenerative and antioxidant ingredients. One of your best bets would be to use argan oil, the precious Moroccan nectar that sits majestically in any bathroom.

Argan oil, a Moroccan treasure
This pure vegetable oil is extracted from the fruit of the argan tree, which is found mainly in Morocco. According to local tradition, Berber women collect the fruits that fall from its trees, and then remove the pulp and select shells to extract the seeds from. These small brown kernels are then cold pressed in order to preserve all the cosmetic qualities of the extracted oil.
Why is this beauty nectar so precious? In order to produce a liter of argan oil, it takes a little more than 30 kilos of fruit and hours of work, which explains its often high retail price.
As proof of its quality, argan oil received PGI certification (Protected Geographical Indication) which validates its origin and ensures its traceability during process and preparation. For the purposes of upcycling, the shell of the kernel, as residue from the manufacture of the oil, is dried and reduced to a powder creating an excellent natural exfoliator.
Why argan oil is an ally for beauty
Its wealth of riches comes from each of the many active ingredients it contains:
- Omega-9 (46% of the fatty acids) favors cell cohesion for fortified and rounded skin
- Omega-6 (34% of fatty acids) helps maintain an optimal level of hydration.
- Tocopherols, or vitamin E, provide effective antioxidant protection against free radicals.
- Squalene, thanks to its emollient properties, enables restoration of the cutaneous barrier to limit insensible fluid loss.
- Sterols stimulate cell membranes and strengthen their blocking function for better protected and soothed skin.
These are just some of the many revitalizing and protective properties that make argan oil such a vital ingredient in maintaining the beauty and suppleness of the skin, in any season of the year.
How to use argan oil to nourish the skin
As an anti-aging measure
Pure: apply a few drops of argan oil on skin dampened with water or, better so, floral water, as with a classic moisturizer. As a non-comedogenic oil, it suits all skin types.
In the nourishing face cream of Richesse d'Arganier, argan oil is combined with hydrating hyaluronic acid to form a protective layer, through the day and night.
As body care
Pure: after gently scrubbing your skin with the exfoliating cream Sens et Encens, apply a few drops of argan oil on your body, paying particular attention to dry areas. In just one week, you will have remedied any tight or damaged skin. You can also pour a few drops into cleansing milk to enrich it if required.
In the composition of the nourishing balm Onguent d'Argan, argan oil, monoi butter and plant waxes form a thousand nourishing virtues.
As a tanning enhancer
marocMaroc has developed a synergy of vegetable oils (argan and wheat germ) saturated with golden mother-of-pearls that deposit a magnificent veil of light on the skin. L’Or et l’Argan is a precious oil with an enchanting fragrance that enhances the natural tan of your neckline, shoulders and legs.
